Its been more than a week since I posted because its just been busy for my photography business and still a lot of sorrow with Tom's(my father-in-laws) passing of course. So after a busy weekend with a lovely family and a wonderful Bat Mitzvah I am down at our cabin. I had a fun Sunday and Monday with Doug and Nando down here with me and now am alone working on my little art projects. I would like to just list some things that I am grateful for in the past weeks:
*The donations that came unasked in Tom's honor. *The fact that the Johnson family has now completed Tom's obituary and in it suggests donation to Soulumination in his memory. *The group of girls from Holy Name's Academy who came to the studio today and created 85 thank you cards, 24 sympathy cards, 31 trifold books, 30 bereavement books plus works on felting, cutting and laminating, and work on files(see a couple of photos of our helpers). *The fact that we will have another TIPS intern this summer * The invitations to graduation parties that arrived honoring two young men that I have been photographing for years * Lovely cards and messages that arrived from friends who knew and loved Tom. * Having Nando, Lew and Mike all home for a while *Hearing that both Jodi and Christina had successful shoots as they return from pregnancy hiatus'. * Getting to work with Sarah this weekend and looking forward to taking some special photos of her with her stunning twins and great husband * Receiving some nice donations via pay pal * Having Kelly, Diane and Megan in Seattle taking great care of my biz and Soul so I can be here at the cabin * knowing that both of my daughters are happy in their work and are soon to be back in school *Doug completing new shelves at the cabin and fixing a few problems with the wood burning stove that have been a worry * eating the last of the morels I harvested yesterday and knowing I have another outing coming up soon where we hope to find more of those treasures of the woods * that my two young redheaded friends keep defying the odds and the medical predictions to move forward with their lives *All my friends and family who take me seriously and save bottle caps, aluminum cans, and tin cans with painted graphics for my crazy art projects * the weather forecast that says we might have a warm weekend. I feel blessed. In love and peace, Lynette
This photo taken by Denis Benjamen as we laughed that after hiking into the woods for about an hour we came back to the vehicle and Denis found a couple of morels on the bank right behind the car and I found another right by the front wheel.
My life is blessed
