Things continue to be very busy here, with Bryan agreeing to do an urgent shoot at Children's today. Another request for a new Soul adult came in today and we are working to book a photographer for a birthday party for a 5 year old this weekend, which might be held at the hospital. I worked with a new baby today that melted me and who we will follow on her journey as the loving parents navigate through her seizure disorder diagnosis. She is the newborn daughter of wedding clients of mine who I have come to consider as my friends.
Megan is finishing the gifts for 2 Soul kids, one photographed by Karen and the other by Kelly. Kelly's was an update as the teen is now close to the end of life. We are so grateful for their work.
We are still looking for more donations of evergreens for the wreath making party. We would be grateful for your help with this. We need the greens by the Monday morning after Thanksgiving. Please call 209-297-0885 to let us know if you can help.
I am posting today a few photos from my shoot with our little friend Elliott's photo shoot. I am very fond of this little one and her family. They are, like all our Soul families, very special people. Elliott has Tay Sacks and the family and I hope to attend the NTSAD conference again in Boston in the spring. Its been a lot of work and some real heartbreak the last couple of days, but when I was waiting for the family to arrive at the temple this afternoon for a Bat Mitzvah rehearsal there was a young man playing a piano. I don't think he knew I was there and his music let my mind wander back to temples in Thailand, to the amazing spiritual feelings in Angkor Wat, to many churches and other sacred places I have visited. It was so calming, so right that I hope he knows that he has a talent that transcended the time and place. I have special memories from all my work at Hertzl Ner Tamid and I am glad I was there today.
In love and peace, Lynette
