February was the busiest month ever for Soulumination and we are now working on getting organized for the annual album making work party on March 16th from 10am until 8pm with a goal of making at least 150 of the beautiful albums that each family receives. We worked with 20 new families in February and are still marveling at the amazing photos that are just being printed from the last shoots of that month. We have seen the discs of the work by Daniel and Scott and are just thrilled with the results. It is grand to have such great talent working for Soul and we have just signed on 4 new photographers and will hopefully have their info up soon on the website. We have two new young men that are going to be working for us, one I coached in T-Ball when he and Lew were in kindergarten and the other I met at the Halloween Party at Seattle Children's, welcome Bryce and Bryan.
I had the pleasure of attending the Hootenanny for Haiti on Sunday that was organized by our friend and supporter, Mike McCready. It was a fun and uplifting evening and I was thrilled to see Soul mentioned in the program in Mike's profile. We are so thankful for the support that he and his wife Ashley have provided. Kim Virant and Mike have talked about doing another benefit for Soul and that would be truly remarkable. I will keep you posted.
Our new friend, Elliott and her mom were featured on KOMO news last night and we were so touched that Becky wore her new Soulumination button as she told the story of Elliott and her Tay Sachs diagnosis. The stunning duo opens this missive.
Lately I feel like I am in Alice in Wonderland, with all my chores its as if 'I'm late, I'm late for a very important date' constantly, so gotta run, in love and peace, Lynette
