We are so excited that our neighbors and Soul supporters Ballard Market have put the Artist Sale up on their reader board. Each year they have donated shopping bags for the sale and now they are promoting us in this perfect way. The only correction is that we are open longer hours on Saturday, 10-7. We are making the wreaths tomorrow and the greens donated by Steve DeRouix, Dunn Gardens and Kurt and Leah Smith look beautiful. I have made soup to feed our volunteers and look forward to working through the day with such great supporters.
My sister-in-law, Jane and niece Betsy have made another stunning quilt for the raffle at the Artist Sale. Its a baby quilt and the back side is the softest red fabric with heart quilting. I am so thankful to have a family that contributes to my life and my work in so many generous ways.
We have been receiving some truly touching donations and I am so thankful that we can continue to offer photos to each family that calls. Today Kari heard from a new mom to Soul who has a 14 year old son that we will photograph and this mom was so stunned when she heard that she would not be charged for the photos. This gift is such a treasure and I am so thankful that many caring people are standing with us to make it all possible.
I am still in a bit of a daze with the change in weather from Mexico to Seattle. It was bliss having the girls with us and I am posting a couple of photos of the girls, just because as their mom I love to share their images.
My heart aches for the families of the slain police officers. This senseless violence has to end. I can't help put wonder how such a man can own a gun, baffles me.
I close in love and peace, Lynette
