My rock star friends, Mike McCready and his wife Ashley O'Conner have just put some punch into our fundraising efforts and we are working on a benefit show for Soulumination at the Tractor Tavern. It will most likely be on Wednesday, August 27 and will feature Mike and most likely he will be playing Hendrix. Our own beloved administrator Sarah will most likely be singing with Mike and if her sister can rearrange her schedule Sarah's band, Tart will open the show. The Tractor holds only 350 people so I will let you know when tickets are available as they will be affordable and we are certainly hoping to sell out and set the stage to make this an annual event. I am so thankful for the generosity of Mike and Ashley and for our mutual friends, Stephanie and Chuck for having connected us in the first place. This means a great deal to the families of Soul as we are seeing an increase in the number of shoots and we certainly want to have funding to serve each and every family who would like photos. We will have a raffle of course that will feature shoots by Soul photographers. Mark you calendars and come out for an evening of great guitar playing to benefit our mission.

This morning I got the final results of the tests on that pesky breast lump and hallelujah, its benign and its just going to mean follow up checks. I now have a stainless steel marker in the spot so the doctors can locate the area with ease, but fortunately I will not set off any alarms at the airport. I think this lump will get me to take the reminder far and wide that each of the 5 lumps that have been tested in my breasts been detected by self examination. So again, check those breasts.

I am sharing today a beautiful new baby and her good looking parents who were recently photographed by Soul photographer, Leo Lam. His work just shines and I know his experience with this family was very special. Sarah and I had thought it might be the perfect fit to have him work with baby Grace and you can see by the results that it was stellar. This little beauty was a preemie, has dwarfism and has challenges breathing. She is a firecracker according to her mom and is a powerful, strong child. Her parents are pleased to share this stunner with all of you.

I close thinking of my sweet friend Charles Lee. I met him and his family last year at the NTSAD conference in Boston. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. I am sharing a photo taken by our friend and Soul photographer, Sarah at the conference.

In love and peace and thinking of a sell out crowd at the Tractor Tavern, Lynette
