Every one of our Soul children and their families deserve our best thoughts and prayers, but today I ask that you keep our dear Emily and her precious family in your hearts. We had so much fun with her on Sunday but yesterday received the news that her cancer has returned and that she has surgery today followed by chemo and she will be an inpatient at Children's for the next two weeks. This news catches me off guard but finding footing today to keep moving ahead with love. After getting the news of Em's relapse, I received an invitation to her birthday party and I am so excited that Doug and I can both attend. I show dear Emily here today from her little brothers recent party.
Today I thought I would share a couple of photos from the movie party that show my family members and volunteers. When I get a little down I love to just be thankful for all the wonderful family and friends who are so supportive and loving. The first photo shows my dear Lulu and the next shows me with my mom and wonderful sister in law Marcia and friend and artist Patty Shaw.
Two husbands went all out at tthe party and I show
their photos here in celebration of the movie day. Steve is Sarah's (our manager) husband and Char, husband of our new board member and event organizer, Deb. The final shot from the party is of our movie maker Jon and his wife Laura. Their dedication and work on this film has meant so very much to our foundation.
I want to thank my brother in law, Mark Johnson for organizing 2 foursomes for the Sydney Coxon Memorial Golf Tournament this Saturday. Soulumination has sent a series of the photos of Sydney that will be displayed at the event. Procedes from the tournament will benefit the brain tumor research at Children's Hospital.
I close as always, in love and peace, Lynette
